It’s nearly Christmas, are you ready and can your kitchen handle the extra workload? Having a ‘spring clean’ in December might not be typical, but it’s a frantic time with us all having more commitments than normal, family get togethers, parties and the extra cooking, so now is a great time to look at organising your kitchen. Get ahead, stay calm and cut the stress.
Worktops
Prepare your kitchen for Christmas by having a declutter. We are all guilty of leaving ‘stuff’ on the kitchen table or worktops. Have designated drawers or cupboards and make sure you put things away. If you don’t need certain items, put them somewhere else for the festive period so you have the additional space for food preparation.
Pantry
Have a clear out, if necessary, by throwing away expired items and making space for your festive shopping.
Organise your fridge
You will need a lot of space in your fridge during the festive season. Empty the fridge and throw away out of date food, give the fridge a clean and make space for the Christmas turkey, Prosecco and left-over food storage.
Cleaning equipment
Have clean dishcloths and tea towels ready and empty the dishwasher so it’s ready to be refilled when your guests arrive.
Do you need more bins?
A lot of waste comes from food preparation from the average kitchen. At Kitchens Complete we offer a range of pull-out waste bins so you can keep your kitchen layout as streamlined as possible.
Lay the table in advance
Don’t leave laying your Christmas table until the big day. You don’t want to be worrying on Christmas Day about whether you have enough knives, or forks. Lay your Christmas table in advance, it will save you a lot of hassle.
Be prepared for the festive season, follow the Kitchens Complete tips above and you will ensure a smooth, stress-free festive period.
